Ambler Borough Council Approves Contract for Borough Park Restoration

At last week’s Ambler Borough Council Meeting, the Council approved a contract with Red Tail Restoration and Land Management, LLC out of Aston, Pa to perform restoration and maintenance of Ambler Borough Park.

From The Ambler Gazette:

Under the terms of the agreement, Red Tail will be removing invasive plant species from the park and will provide expertise and advice and support general conservation tasks. Furthermore, Red Tail will perform complete treatment of the Japanese Knotweed patch and perform extended treatment along the south end of the Rose Valley Creek corridor.

Red Tail is slated to begin on April 1st.

According to their website, Red Tail Restoration and Land Management has been in business since 2010. Their specialties include:

  • Removing invasive plants to support natural biodiversity
  • Native replanting of natural areas and habitat landscaping around homes
  • Constructing deer-exclusion fences
  • Enhancing water quality through storm water runoff improvements
  • Creating and maintaining trails
  • Connecting with other agencies to further initiatives
