In order to celebrate Fall’s most prolific fruit, the Ambler Farmers’ Market is proud to present our Second Annual Apple Festival, this Saturday, September 19th. There will be an Apple Tasting, Apple Dishes from Trax Restaurant and Café, Apple Activities for the Kids and an Apple Confection Contest for patrons with some great prizes for the top three winners.

“Last season’s Apple Festival was such a success that we definitely had to do it again this season”, said Ambler Farmers’ Market manager, Ben Bergman. “We love having events for the Ambler community to enjoy because without that community, the market can’t succeed!”

The Apple Confection Contest is open to market patrons. One entry per customer, each Apple dish needs to contain at least 51% apples. The judging begins at 12 noon and the judges are: Chef Steve Waxman, head chef and owner of Trax Restaurant and Café, Chef Kelly Fischer, head chef at Forest and Main brewpub and Mayor of Ambler Borough, Jeanne Sorg. First Prize is a Farm-to-Table dinner for four at Trax Restaurant and Café, Second Prize is a $25.00 Gift Card from Forest and Main brewpub and Third Prize is an Ambler Farmers’ Market T-Shirt and Bag.

Now in the midst of its third season, the Ambler Farmers’ Market provides fresh fruits and vegetables to the Borough of Ambler on a weekly basis from May to October. Each Saturday, in the parking lot of Trax Restaurant and Café, the Ambler community gathers to shop, talk with friends, listen to live music and enjoy the bounty of Spring, Summer and early Fall. The market begins at 9 am and runs until 1 pm.
