On Saturday, May 20th, Montgomery County is collecting household hazardous waste at the Temple Ambler Campus. This collection is free from 9 am to 3 pm, rain or shine.

Event workers will unload your vehicle. Acceptable items include: gasoline, oil, kerosene,
turpentine, paint thinner, oil paint, stains, varnish, pool chemicals, herbicides, pesticides, antifreeze, caustic cleaners and solvents, mercury, thermometers, flares, fire extinguishers, lead acid batteries, rechargeable batteries, fluorescent tube light bulbs and ballast, CFL bulbs, mini propane canisters, and electric oil filled heaters.

There is a maximum amount accepted of 25 gallons or 220 pounds. Prohibited items include: electronics, appliances, asbestos, explosives, ammunition, medical waste, radioactive waste, smoke detectors, items containing Freon, or tires. For more information call 610-278-3618.
