NERUDA is a stylish and poetic take on the life of Chilean poet Pablo Neruda. Set in the late 1940’s the story follows an investigator, played by Gael Garcia Bernal, that must track down the Nobel Prize winner Neruda who is a fugitive in his own country because of his ties to the Communist Party. Director Larrain exhibits his lush filmmaking ability in this ode to one of the 20th Century’s greatest poets.
