The Ambler Strong Women/Growing Stronger Program

On Tuesday and Thursdays, from January 17th to February 23rd, the Penn State Extension is offering Strong Women/Growning Stronger classes at the Senior Adult Activity Center in Ambler.

From the Penn State Extension Website:

The StrongWomen/Growing Stronger program is a safe, effective strength-training and nutrition program for individuals who have been active or sedentary for the past few years and are interested in improving their health.

The classes, which meet twice a week, consist of a nutrition lesson and 8-12 strength training exercises that help improve strength, balance, and flexibility. Make a commitment to becoming healthier and feeling better about yourself. Join a StrongWomen program sponsored by Penn State Extension. You can remain vital throughout your lifetime through healthy eating and exercise. Individuals who have participated in the program have become stronger, more active, and energized.

The classes are from 1 pm to 2 pm and registration is required. The registration deadline is January 16th, 2017. The Senior Adult Activity Center is located at 45 Forest Ave. in Ambler.
