Upper Dublin Parks and Rec Offering Drawing and Cartooning

Between March and April, Upper Dublin Parks and Recreation is offering 3 classes for children in Drawing and Cartooning.

Early Elementary Drawing will be on Saturdays, from March 4th to April 1st. The class is designed for ages 4-6 years old.

Classes provide skills necessary to draw complex images while discovering the world of art & color. Develop fine motor & learning skills that are essential to future success. Drawing will be taught in an entertaining & positive setting ensuring success for everyone. ALL NEW lessons are taught each session. Inspire your child’s imaginative spirit and bolster educational skills that will benefit them all year long. Please note, all parents must be present for the duration of this class.

You can register here. The class is $70 for residents, $84 for non-residents.

Drawing class will be on Saturdays from 10 am to 11 am and is for children grades 2nd to 6th.

Young Rembrandts’ acclaimed drawing method teaches children to break down complex objects into basic foundational shapes. The elementary-aged curriculum is designed to teach basic to advanced drawing skills, art techniques and vocabulary. Drawing will be taught in an entertaining and positive setting ensuring success for every child. ALL NEW lessons will be taught each session. Inspire your child’s imaginative spirit and bolster educational skills that will benefit them all year long.

Cartooning will be on Saturdays from 11:15 to 12:15 pm and is for children grades 3rd to 8th.

Cartooning is fun and engaging! Children will gain mastery in a unique drawing style and improve their core learning skills. Cartoon lessons will teach children how to create new cartoon characters and draw action, movement and sound. Draw expressions, convey moods and develop a series of drawings to tell a joke.
