Amazon Prime van cut in half by height restriction barrier at West Valley Green Road Bridge in Whitemarsh

Back on November 11th, AroundAmbler.com reported on a contractor van striking the height restriction barrier that leads up to the West Valley Green Bridge in Whitemarsh Township. The bridge has a weight limit and there are signs and a barrier leading up to the bridge.

A reader has now submitted a photo from today (December 13th) that shows that an Amazon Prime delivery van has been split in half after striking the height restriction barrier. The accident happened at approximately 5:00 p.m. We do not have information on the driver or if any other vehicles were involved.

The November accident led to a portion of the road being closed until the bridge could be inspected. We have not seen any notice from local authorities on this as of yet. As of 6:30 p.m., it is still an active accident scene according to the Montgomery County Active Incidents page.

We will provide an update if there are any road closures.
