The following Finance and Planning Committee item will be discussed at tonight’s Ambler Borough Council Meeting:

A recommendation is requested to send draft ordinance language to the Borough Planning Commission to review and recommend language to address short term rental requirements.

Airbnb, HomeAway and other short term rental sites can be convenient and easy, but can also cause some issues within boroughs and towns.  The letter below states that “…many towns are regulating these short-term rentals or out right banning them.”  In addition, the below letter states that ” The Montgomery County Planner is working on providing sample Ordinance language from other Boroughs to assist with options for regulation…”
