Ambler Borough Police Briefs | August 26

VANDALISM | resident in the 200 block of Bannockburn Avenue reported on July 30, 2018 she parked in her driveway and when she returned to her vehicle the next morning, she found that one of her tires were flat. When she took her vehicle for the tire to be fixed, they stated that they found a tip of a knife inside her tire. Value of the damage is unknown at this time.

PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS  |  Officers were dispatched to the 100 block E. Butler Avenue for an intoxicated male stumbling down the street on August 10th. Once contact was made, the male was identified as Edwin Sikes 43 years of age of the unit block of N. Spring Garden Street. While speaking with Sikes Officers observed that his speech was slurred and very unsteady on his feet. Sikes was placed under arrest for public drunkenness and transported to the station.

DOMESTIC  |  Savannah Perry 20 years of age of the 200 block of Southern Avenue was arrest for terroristic threats, simple assault, and harassment after police responded to a domestic in progress. Once on scene police observed the victim with scratch marks on her person. Perry advised police that she had to use the bathroom and once police was out of the way she sprinted down the steps and grabbed a screwdriver and threaten to kill the victim. Perry was placed under arrest and transported to the station and later arraigned before Judge Rebar and given $5000.00 ROR bail.

THEFT  |  resident in the 200 block of Southern Avenue reported that her iPhone 7 black in color and her credit cards were stolen. There were fraudulent charges on her credit card, the value is unknown at this time. Victim was advised to lock her phone or use the find my iPhone app. Investigation is going…

PENDING DUI |  Officer observed a vehicle traveling on S. Main Street with the driver side tail light out and with closer investigation the registration was expired. He activated his emergency lights and conducted a traffic stop. Contact was made with Alberto Lozada 18 years of age of the 300 block of Randolph Avenue, and in speaking with Lozada officer observed him to have slurred speech and blood shot eyes. Lozada failed all 3 field sobriety test and was placed under arrest. Lozada was transported to the station and met by Ambler Ambulance for blood. Lozada was released into the custody of a family member. DUI charges are pending blood work.
