Ambler police warn public about unemployment fraud

The Ambler Borough Police Department has issued a notice to the public that its department and multiple surrounding police departments are seeing a significant volume of reports involving unemployment fraud.

The department advises that if you do receive fraudulent unemployment benefits by mail or receive calls from your employer’s human resource department call your local police department. The public is also encouraged to check their credit history to make sure no other fraudulent accounts were opened in their name.

You can also visit the PA Department of Labor’s website to review information on what to do if you are a victim of unemployment fraud.
