The Senior Adult Activity Centers of Montgomery County (Montco SAAC) has received a Community Block Grant to refurbish and enhance the parking lot and surrounding areas at Ambler Senior Center.

The Center, which is also home to the Intergenerational Arts Center and Ambler Physical Therapy, will receive a resurfacing of the lot and incorporate plans for a community garden, improved fencing, and sidewalk repairs.

“This project is more than just an upgrade; it’s about creating a safe and beautiful space that respects our building’s historic past while providing a valuable resource for our senior members and neighbors. We are committed to being great partners with our community, and we will keep everyone informed of our progress and any unavoidable disruptions,” Mark Clark, Executive Director of Montco SAAC, said.

Montco SAAC plans to communicate updates and project developments through its website, direct mailers, and social media channels, ensuring that residents and partners, including Ambler Borough and Montgomery County, are kept in the loop.

The project just began its bid process and has an undetermined start date later this summer.
