On Friday January 4th, the Blue Bell Inn celebrated their 275 year anniversary, with a “Shades of Blue” themed party. The beautifully renovated Inn was decked out with breathtaking blue lighting and decorations throughout the building, including the exterior and entrance, which was also lined with a long royal blue carpet. This SOLD OUT event was attended by over 325 locals, who all enjoyed great food, beverage and a fantastic band from the city, Blue’s Junior.

One of the attending guests we spoke with said, “When the town is named after the restaurant, it HAS to be big”. Referencing the fact that the town, formally named Pigeontown, was renamed Blue Bell in 1840 because the Inn was so prominent in this area’s history. He went on to say “The BBI is older then the country, so this had to be a special night, and the owners and staff really hit it out of the park.” Owner Scott Dougherty mentioned that they will have a few more special events planned throughout the year to continue the celebration.
