Starting May 22nd at approximately 9:00 a.m., Camp Hill Road will be closed for the first stage of construction which will last for approximately 10 days. There will be no construction on Memorial Day. Stage 1 work will take place on Camp Hill Road between Virginia Drive and Highland Avenue.
Construction will be done in two stages for this project, which includes minor widening of Camp Hill Road and two intersection corners to provide better-turning radii for the upcoming signalized intersection condition.
The detour route for Stage 1 will direct motorists to turn from Camp Hill Road onto Virginia Drive, Pinetown Road, and Highland Avenue. Turns onto Virginia Drive from Camp Hill Road will be temporarily permitted, and the “No Turn” signs will be covered accordingly.
Once Stage 1 is complete, Stage 2 will begin, and the detour will change. That information is forthcoming.
The two stages of construction will last a total of three weeks, with construction to be completed before Friday, June 9th.
Virginia Drive will remain open at all times, and access to the Upper Dublin Police Department and Public Library will remain open from the Virginia Drive, Pinetown Road, and Highland Avenue driveways.
Traffic delays are expected during construction and motorists should allow for extra time if traveling in the area or seek an alternate route.
