The Most Dangerous Intersections Around Ambler

Law firm Solnick & Associates, LLC, recently conducted a study on the most dangerous intersections in Montgomery County. While the headline on the law firms’ website states “most dangerous intersections,” within the study it also uses “most dangerous roads.” The study basically just looked at how many accidents occurred at specific locations.

Within AroundAmbler.com’s coverage area, Welsh Road makes the list at No. 4, and Penllyn Blue Bell Pike at No. 5.   In 2016, there were 24 car accidents reported at the Welsh Road location and 22 at the Penllyn Pike location.  The article from the law firm states, “From running red lights, speeding to distracted driving, these are common causes of car accidents at road intersections.” 1316 Welsh Road is a 4 lane intersection where these scenarios often occur.  The picture mentioned in the quote is located at 309 cinema and Whole Foods shopping center.  #1358-1398 Penllyn – Blue Bell Pike is in a neighborhood, and the article states, “While the risk goes up at intersections, neighborhoods are not immune to traffic collisions. In fact, 52 percent of reported crashes occurred five miles or less from home and a whopping 77 percent occurred fifteen miles or less from home.”

No. 1 on the list is North Gulph Road at Goddard Boulevard in King of Prussia. See the complete list here.
