Fox 29 Video on Upper Dublin School District’s Ban of Flash Drives Because of Confusion with JUUL Vaping Devices

Fox 29 was in Upper Dublin this week to report about the Upper Dublin School District’s decision to ban flash drives because of how similarly they look to the popular vaping devices called JUULs.

“JUULing” is a craze on high school and college campuses , especially because the vaping devices can be easily concealed.  Most devices fit easily inside the palm of your hand.   JUULs  look like flash drives more than they look like vaping devices, and they are charged when plugged into a laptop’s usb port.

The increasing availability and rise of gadgets like Juul, which can easily fool teachers when brought into school, has some school districts, like Upper Dublin, banning flash drives entirely.  Watch Fox 29’s video below to see the full story:
