Horsing Around With The Clydesdales in Ambler

Holiday time in Ambler is always a lively affair with the holiday parade, small businesses bustling, a decorated Borough and friendly faces abound. This Holiday Season though, there is a little more excitement coming to the Borough. Thanks to Anheuser-Bush Budweiser’s partnership with Marianne Gere and Kim Strengar, co-owners of Gypsy Blu (one of Ambler’s newest hot spots), Ambler will host the famous Budweiser Clydesdales on Saturday, December 12th.

Eight Clydesdale horses will arrive around 2 PM and will be quartered at the Italian American Citizens Club of Ambler (211 W. Butler Pike, Ambler). There they will be unloaded from their trailers and hitched to their specially-decorated, holiday wagon. From there, the Clydesdales will parade down Butler Ave with plenty of stops for photos.

During the festivities, the horses will stop at Gypsy Blu to deliver a case of Budweiser Beer.

After the parade, a tree lighting ceremony will commence at approximately 5 PM on the front patio of Gypsy Blu where all of Ambler can gather and enjoy the event!

In addition, Gypsy Blu will host a special breakfast menu from 10 AM to noon and a lunch menu from noon to 4 PM. $3 Bud and Bud Lite Aluminum Bottles will be offered throughout the day as well as $2 drafts. Dinner will also be offered. Live entertainment will start at 9 PM.

Gypsy Blu and Anheuser-Busch and Budweiser are also working together to institute a designated driver program for the entire day. All designated drivers will receive a wrist band and will receive free O’Douls beer all day.

All festivities are weather permitting.
