How the local area voted for governor and senator compared to the rest of Pennsylvania

So how did voters in the Borough of Ambler, Lower Gwynedd Township, Upper Dublin Township, and Whitpain Township vote in the races for governor and senator compared to the rest of Pennsylvania? Did they pick the winner? Or did they have another preferred candidate?

Please note that the totals shown are based on the unofficial results and that we didn’t include the Democratic primary for governor since Josh Shapiro was unopposed.

Borough of Ambler – Democratic Party Primary for Senator

Democrats in Ambler went with John Fetterman, who won every county in the state.

Borough of Ambler – Republican Party Primary for Senator

Republican voters in Ambler went with Kathy Barnette. Dr. Oz and David McCormick, who are currently involved in a recount to determine the winner, came in second and third respectively.

Borough of Ambler – Republican Party Primary for Governor

Republicans in Ambler went with winner Doug Mastriano.

Lower Gwynedd Township – Democratic Party Primary for Senator

No surprises. Fetterman came in first.

Lower Gwynedd Township – Republican Party Primary for Senator

In Lower Gwynedd, Dr. Oz came in first, slightly edging Barnette.

Lower Gwynedd Township – Republican Primary for Governor

Republicans in Lower Gwynedd were the most divided on who to pick for governor. Mastriano won but Bill McSwain and Dave White came within 100 votes.

Upper Dublin Township – Democratic Party Primary for Senator

The interesting result here is that Jenkintown Councilmember Alex Khalil, who was never treated as a top-tier candidate, came in third over Malcolm Kenyetta.

Republicans in Upper Dubin went with Kathy Barnette.

Republicans in Upper Dublin went with winner Doug Mastriano.

Whitpain Township – Democratic Party Primary for Senator

While there was no surprise at the top, Jenkintown Councilmember Alex Khalil edged out Malcolm Kenyetta for third place.
