Jury Selection Complete in Ambler Murder Case

Back in July of last year, we reported on murders of 54-year-old Janice Trunk and her boyfriend, 44-year-old Kevin Smith at the Forest Garden Apartments in Ambler. On Friday, April 21st, the jury was selected for the trial of Joshua Trunk, son of the deceased.

Trunk is charged with two counts of first and third degree murder and also possessing an instrument of crime. Jurors will return on 9 am Monday to hear the opening statements of the lawyers and witness testimony.

From Recentnews.press:

Prosecutors have not publicly speculated on a motive for the fatal shootings and Cooper has not revealed Trunk’s defense strategy. Those issues are likely to become clearer once the trial gets under way.

The trial is expected to last a few days.
