Key Bank in Spring House Robbed Today (updated)

Key Bank, located in Spring House, was robbed earlier today. The Lower Gwynedd Police Department told us that no one was hurt. There is no other information at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation and we will update as we know more.

Update, Sept 17th at 4:58PM:

Here is an update from the Lower Gwynedd Police Department:

On September 17, 2019 at 1205 hours, Lower Gwynedd Township Police responded to Key Bank, 1017 N. Bethlehem Pk., for a report of a bank robbery in progress. Actor was described as a white male, wearing sunglasses and an orange shirt tied around his head and face. Actor was wearing purple rubber gloves that came up to his forearms, white pants, dark jacket and blue/black sneakers. No weapon was seen.


Key Bank tellers observed the male approaching the bank with his face and hands already covered. Suspect proceeded to the first teller window demanding money. Suspect fled out the front door with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect never displayed a weapon but did threaten one bank employee.


A witness attempted to run after the suspect and observed him get into an early 2000’s red Ford F-150 with a chrome tool box across the bed of the truck. Vehicle fled South on Bethlehem Pk.
