The Institute for Dance Artistry is preparing for its 11th annual Generations benefit dance concert. This season, the concert is benefiting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The performance will be held Sunday, Nov. 22, at 4 p.m., at the Montgomery County Community College Science Center Theatre located at 340 Dekalb Pike in Blue Bell.

Over the past 10 years, the Institute’s Generations benefit concerts have benefited various worthy charities including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Ronald McDonald House and more.

“Generations is special and unique for many reasons: It teaches our students that their passion and talent for dance can be used for good and that art enriches lives in so many ways,” [IDA Owner Jamie] Lipskin said in the release. The students “dance for more than just themselves and their audience; they dance to raise funds and awareness for an important cause and gain a sense of community, pride and fulfillment as well as the understanding that they can give back through dance.”

With locations at 400 Commerce Drive, Fort Washington and 625 W. Ridge Pike, Conshohocken, the Institute for Dance Artistry has classes for ages 3 to adult.
