Lower Gwynedd Police Briefs | Attempted Theft From Vehicle

On Tuesday, February 5th, at 08:07am, a lower Gwynedd resident called the Lower Gwynedd Township Police to report an attempted theft from her vehicle in her driveway that occurred sometime during the overnight hours. It was also reported that numerous other reports of similar thefts from unlocked vehicles in this neighborhood also occurred within this timeframe. The report is as follows:

A Lower Gwynedd resident reported that she arrived home around 20:40 hours last evening and parked her slate-colored 2017 Toyota Sequoia in the driveway. She believes that she left the vehicle unlocked after unloading the groceries from it.


The resident discovered that unknown actor(s) had entered the vehicle and ransacked all of the interior storage compartments leaving the contents strewn about in the Toyota Sequoia. There was nothing found missing.


The resident does not have a camera system on her home.

The owner of this vehicle is going to advise the neighborhood of the theft via the developments Facebook Page and thru email. There were numerous widespread reports of similar thefts from unlocked vehicles throughout the subdivision, which occurred during the same time frame.
