Montgomery County has hired company to remove debris in area of Upper Dublin impacted by storm

Upper Dublin Township announced today that Montgomery County has signed an agreement for debris removal in the portion of the township impacted by the recent storm (view map). The service is completely free and there is no need to signup.

The service will start on Wednesday, September 7th. The initial focus is the removal of vegetative waste (tree branches, leaves, logs, and plants). A second round of collections will follow that will focus on other items, such as electronics, large appliances, hazardous waste, construction debris, and household garbage.

The contractors will not be cutting trees down or digging out stumps. All tree branches, leaves, logs, and plants must be placed within15′ of the curb/pavement. Do not place any debris in the roadway.

The contractors will not be permitted to enter properties past the 15′ allowed for collection. However, if any part of the tree branches, leaves, logs, or plants are within the 15′, the contractors will pull it/them the rest of the way for removal.

The announcement closes by stating that there will be no reimbursement to residents for tree removal work that has already been completed.
