Montgomery County identifies three people who died during storm, including Upper Dublin resident

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office is investigating three unrelated deaths connected to the storm that struck the Philadephia region on the evening of September 1, 2021.

A multi-agency investigation is ongoing, and the Coroner’s Office is charged with positively identifying the deceased, ensure the legal next of kin have been notified of the death, and determine the cause and manner of death through investigation, examination, and forensic testing.

The following information has been approved for release by Dr. Michael Milbourne, Coroner for Montgomery County.

Maxine Weinstein, a 68-year-old female, of Fort Washington, died at home on September 1, 2021. The cause of death is traumatic asphyxia and the manner of death is accidental.

Craig Messinger, a 70-year-old male, of Schwenksville, was found dead in Skippack Township on September 2, 2021. The cause of death is drowning and the manner of death is accidental.

Jack Caroluzzi, a 65-year-old male, of Bridgeport, died at home on September 2, 2021. The cause of death is pending investigation and the manner of death is also pending.
