A New Direction for Banh Street

Banh Street Fried Chicken’s new operating partner and CEO, Jon Heyl, is taking the business in a slightly new direction.  Heyl has been in the restaurant business for 22 years, and an operator for the last 16 years at places like, Outback, Panera Bread, Buck’s County Gourmet and most recently, Shake Shack.

His goal at Banh Street is to grow the business into a small franchise.  Currently he is gaining that momentum by establishing a fully customizable catering menu, offering an assortment of Banh mi, wings, salad options, and the newest craze on the daily menu… soup!   Heyl also just added a delivery service to both Banh Street locations.

Banh Street combines the traditional Vietnamese palette with the rich, succulent flavors of the American grill.  The newest addition to Banh Street’s menu is a soup called, Faux Ramen, a 100% aromatic vegetarian broth, charred shrimp and bokchoy, served with herbs, rice noodles and other great freshness. The bánh mi is a Vietnamese hoagie that has recently earned a place at the top of the list of the planet’s great sandwiches and street foods.  It’s signature elements include a light, warm, crusty roll, pickeled daikon & carrots, crisp cucumber, fresh cilantro, jalepeño, and citrus mayo which provides the base for simple, marinated, charbroiled meats, tofu, or veggies.
