Penna’s Italian Market set to open in late October at Fairland Village in Ambler

Fairland Village, a mixed-use community at 545 North Bethlehem Pike in the Ambler section of Lower Gwynedd Township, is set to be the home of Penna’s Italian Market come late October.

Pete Penna, who owns the Fireside Grille, is the developer of the property through PFP Properties and will be the operator of the market. His family arrived from Italy in the mid-1900s and has a long successful history in the restaurant and food business.

The market’s deli will offer everything from breakfast sandwiches, coffee, espresso, and pastries in the morning to hoagies, wraps, salads, and hot/cold sandwiches for lunch. There will also be prepared foods such as hand-breaded chicken cutlets, homemade meatballs, salads, olives, lunch meats, and gravies/sauces. Completing the market will be a selection of oils and vinegar, pasta, cheeses, and a gelato bar.

There will also be two private dining rooms for events that can each seat 50 guests or 100 when combined.

In addition to the market, the Fairland Village development is home to 23 soldout carriage homes from WB Homes and eight other commercial and office tenants including Danny’s Barbershop, Iron Valley Real Estate (coming soon), George Waldron Salon, PFP Properties, Wailbel Dental, Catanzaro Insurance/ Oak & Stone Advisors, Kyung Hee Acupuncture, and Gordon Orthodontics.
