Person-of-Interest Sought in Whitemarsh Stabbing Has Been Detained

NBC10’s Randy Gyllenhaal reports that the person-of-interest police searched for in connection to the stabbing death of a woman overnight in Whitemarsh Township has been detained. See tweet below:

Here is the text from the announcement from the District Attorney:

Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele and Whitemarsh Township Police Chief Christopher P. Ward announce the joint investigation into a homicide that occurred in the parking lot of Vector Security at 5125 Campus Drive in Whitemarsh Township. A
person of interest is detained, and no immediate concern for public safety exists at this time.

At 2:27 a.m. today Whitemarsh Township Police responded to Vector Security for a reported stabbing. Police officers arrived on scene and located a deceased female in the rear parking lot of the business. The Montgomery County Detective Bureau and Whitemarsh Township Police are conducting a joint investigation into this apparent homicide.
