The Pet of the Week is a really smart Border Collie named River.

River’s owner Joan writes:

River is the smartest dog I’ve ever known. She LOVES going to classes, and sometimes figures things out before anything thinks to teach her. I would not be surprised if one day she takes my car keys, drives to work and takes over my job. She’s loving and gentle with her family, including her Chihuahua sister, and thinks that every new human or dog is a potential BFF.
