Play, Learn, and Make Friends at Germantown Academy Summer Camps

There’s no better place for your kids to explore new interests than at Germantown Academy Summer Camps. Whether they like to play in the creek and explore nature, sing and dance on the stage, program robots in the computer lab, or shoot a basketball in the gym, there’s a camp waiting for them.

The independent school’s 126-acre campus on Morris Road offers access to the Wissahickon Creek, turf and grass athletic fields, and an indoor pool for daily swimming. Kids from all over the area have enjoyed making lifelong memories at GA.

A traditional day camp is at the heart of summers at GA, with campers entering 1st through 6th grade rolling through an exciting mix of art, games, science, athletics, technology, and nature, with frequent trips to the awesome ropes course and zip line over the creek.

New for 2019, Travelers Day Camp gives rising 5th and 6th graders the opportunity to travel off campus twice a week to places like state parks and family fun centers while still enjoying special activities on campus. This is modeled off the successful Explorers Camp, where 7th and 8th graders travel off-campus every day.

For campers 3-5 years old, age-appropriate day camp activities and themed STEM, nature, and arts camps are led by experienced early childhood professionals.

Summer at GA also features specific weeks for baseball, basketball, field hockey, football, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, and track, all run by varsity coaches and student-athletes.

Leaders In Training (LITs) and Counselors In Training (CITs) learn what it takes to work as a camp counselor, planning activities and helping supervise younger campers.

Other popular camps include Art Quest, Kids Kitchen, and Model Rocketry. Or audition for the Belfry Theatre camp, where this summer’s production is Beauty and the Beast!

If your child is obsessed with Fortnite and Minecraft, GA also offers e-sports and coding through a partnership with Lavner Camps.

Summer camp is all about staying active, trying new things, and making friends. No matter what your child’s passion, they can do it all at Germantown Academy!

Camp runs weekly from June 17 to August 9, and registration is now open at www.gacamp.org.
