According to the Whitpain Township Police Department, there has been a recent increase in reported mail theft from the Blue Bell Post Office located at 651 South Township Line Road. The specific concern involves the outside drop box.

The department recently made arrests involving thefts of mail from the outside drop box and has notified the United States Postal Inspector and requested that the drop box receive enhanced security features.

Police recommend that customers utilize the drop box inside the lobby rather than the drive-up drop box.

We experienced this personally. We mailed two checks from that dropbox and neither party received them.
