Spring House Tavern seeks zoning relief to add roof to outdoor dining area

The Spring House Tavern is scheduled to go before the Lower Gwynedd Zoning Hearing Board on July 8th at 6:00 p.m. to seek zoning relief that would allow for it to add a roof over its existing patio.

The agenda reads:

21-11Z Karleigh Burns requests a variance from the 10-foot front yard
setback requirement of Lower Gwynedd Township Zoning Ordinance (the “Ordinance”) §1280.05(a) (Front Yard) in order to construct a roof over an existing patio dining area along Bethlehem Pike upon real property located in the Township’s D-Business District at 1032 North Bethlehem Pike, together with any other relief deemed necessary or appropriate by the Board.

With the new importance of outdoor dining due to the pandemic, expect to see other restaurants seek to make whatever outdoor space they have be more functional. Jasper’s Backyard in Conshohocken is also in the process of seeking zoning relief to add a roof to its outdoor space.
