Target at Metroplex in Plymouth Meeting in Process to Sell Beer and Wine

The Target at the Metroplex off Chemical Road in Plymouth Meeting has an orange placard from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board in its window. The placard indicates that the store is transferring the liquor license from Uncle Julio’s, a now closed restaurant at the Plymouth Meeting Mall.

Since Plymouth Meeting’s Target is also a grocer, it qualifies for the license that will allow it to sell beer to-go. It then will need a secondary permit for wine to-go. The store is currently under renovations to make space for the beer and wine sales area and required seating area.

Based on a search for pending and active licenses in the PLCB’s database, this is the first Target in Pennsylvania that will offer beer and wine.

More to come.
