The decision on Pike Fest delayed

When AroundAmbler.com last reported on Pike Fest, it was to be on the agenda for the meeting of the February 11th meeting of Lower Gwynedd’s Board of Supervisors. As we reported previously there is a debate as to whether it should remain on Bethlehem Pike or be moved to a different location.

The issue stems from some businesses along the portion of Bethlehem Pike used for the event believing that the event hinders their ability to operate. For example, if you are going to a salon you would need to park outside the event area and walk to the business. The annual event attracts an estimated 4,000 people.

This notice was posted to the township’s website on February 7th:

The Pike Fest is still being discussed amongst the Pike Fest Subcommittee and the Pike Fest Committee and will not be listed on the Board of Supervisors meeting agenda for Tuesday, February 11, 2020, but will be on a future agenda.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

More to come.
