The latest on Coronavirus in Montgomery County – full report

Montgomery County officials reported 47 new cases of Coronavirus in the county today and that 12 of these cases came from a long-term care facility. The total number of cases since the start of the pandemic now is 8,395.

Also reported was one additional confirmed death due to Coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths in the county to 800. Deaths tied to a long-term care facility account for 712 or 83% of all confirmed deaths. Probable deaths, those without a lab test, total 93.

Hospitals in the county report 73 patients currently hospitalized due to Coronavirus. Eleven or 15% currently require a ventilator.

Between the dates of April 16th to June 25th, the county’s testing sites tested 11,956 and have results back for 11,501. During this time, 1,384 have tested positive which is 12%. Over the past 14 days, the positivity rate is down to 6%.

  • Ambler is at 146 cases and has had 16 deaths, which is no change
  • Lower Gwynedd is at 159 cases, which is one more than yesterday, and has had 34 deaths
  • Upper Dublin is at 182 cases and has had 18 deaths, which is no change
  • Whitpain is at 128 cases and has had 14 deaths, which is no change
