Upper Dublin planting thousands of trees in township

Last week, Upper Dublin Township began the process of planting over 1,100 trees at Tannerie Run West, which is adjacent to Temple University’s Ambler campus. Tannerie Run West is a park that consists of nine acres of open space that had numerous trees leveled by the September 1 tornado.

This is the second planting at Tannerie Run West. In February, the township had 400 live stakes planted along the stream.

This spring, the township has plans to add approximately 2,400 trees to additional parks.

The project was partially funded by The Garden Club of America Restoration Grant.
