Upper Dublin receives $105K grant for 5 pickleballs courts

Upper Dublin Township has been awarded a $105,000 grant for the construction of five pickleball courts at Twining Valley Park.

The grant came through the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) Community Conservation Partnership Programs (C2P2) grant for continuing Phase 2 Park Improvements.

With Phase 1 work (trails, dog park, sitework & stormwater management) nearing completion, two Phase 2 projects have already received grant support. The bike playground is fully funded by grants with work projected to start in Fall 2023 and the pickleball courts are now 50% funded.

“We are appreciative to have received our fully requested amount and were only one of seven Montgomery County municipalities to have received this highly competitive funding,” Derek Dureka, Parks & Recreation Director, said. “The continued construction of Twining Valley Park is exciting for Upper Dublin Township and will directly benefit our residents and visitors to our community.”

To date, the Township has received over $1,140,000 in grant funding to support the conversion of the Twining Valley property from golf course to public park.
