Upper Dublin schools provide update on superintendent search

Dr. Jeffrey Wallack announced an update regarding the Upper Dublin School District’s search for a new superintendent.

The district began its search in July after former superintendent Steven Yanni announced his departure.

From the update:

Dear Upper Dublin Community:

I write on behalf of the Board of School Directors to provide a brief update on the District’s search for a new superintendent.

First, thank you to everyone who participated in recent on-line surveys and focus groups.  The on-line survey alone received 1,011 responses. Your valuable responses are being collated for use by the Board as the superintendent search process moves forward. Summary results of the on-line survey will be made available on the District’s website in the near future.

Second, we are pleased to report that the District received 31 applications for the superintendent position. Details about the applicants are strictly confidential. The Board anticipates moving forward with initial interviews of selected candidates in late August. We remain hopeful that a successful candidate will be identified and appointed as our new superintendent in September.

Very truly yours,
Jeffrey Wallack
President, Upper Dublin Board of School Directors
