Jeffrey Wallack, President of the Upper Dublin School Board of Directors, released a memo on Monday, July 24 regarding the district’s search for a new superintendent.
Former superintendent Steven Yanni announced his departure to become superintendent of Lower Merion School District in June.
From Wallack’s memo:
Dear Upper Dublin Community:
I write in follow-up to recent messages concerning opportunities for the Upper Dublin community to provide input and information for the Board of Directors’ use in connection with the District’s search for a new superintendent. In conjunction with the MCIU (the District’s consultant for the superintendent search), the Board seeks input from all District stakeholders to identify key leadership qualities that the community seeks in a new superintendent. There are two ways for the community to provide input and information.
First, there is an on-line survey. If you would like to provide input, please complete the MCIU’s online survey that can be found here. The survey results will be presented to the Board and used to develop a comprehensive superintendent profile. The survey, which should take less than ten minutes to complete, will be available online until August 13, 2023.
Second, in addition to the survey opportunity, the MCIU will be conducting virtual focus groups to gather additional input and perspectives on the next superintendent. There will be two opportunities for all Upper Dublin School District community members to participate in a virtual focus group on August 2, 2023 – at either 9:00 am or 7:00 pm. We ask that you only attend one of the focus group sessions in order to afford more opportunities for stakeholder input. The focus groups will be conducted by the MCIU on the Zoom links below.
August 2 @ 9:00 AM– https://zoom.us/j/91233240873
or
August 2 @ 7:00 PM– https://zoom.us/j/93418538986
The Board of Directors thanks the entire community for its valuable input in the superintendent search process and for the community’s continued support of our District and our students.
Very truly yours,
Jeffrey Wallack
