Wissahickon Valley Public Library to host 100th anniversary celebration on October 21

The Wissahickon Valley Public library is celebrating 100 years of serving as a hub for learning, culture and community. Established in 1923, WVPL has played an integral role in the lives of the Ambler, Lower Gwynedd and Whitpain communities by providing access to books and an array of educational resources.

To mark this historic 100th anniversary, WVPL invites the community to join in a day of festivities on October 21 from 10:00am-5:00pm at both the branches.

The celebration will feature fun games, crafts, a 1920s theme scavenger hunt, photo booths, Old McDonald balloon show, live music snacks and much more.

As a part of the centennial celebration WVPL has curated a timeline exhibition showing the libraries journey through the years The event will be attended by the Mayor of Ambler at the Ambler Branch at 2pm and Representatives Hanbidge and Cerruto, at the Main Branch at 1am.
