1970s-era photos of the Montgomery Mall in Montgomery Township (shown above and below) were shared this week by the “Abandoned, Old or Interesting Places in Pennsylvania” Facebook page.

From the photos’ caption:
Saturday, February 26, 1977 was the date of the grand opening of the mall. Local celebrities Captain Noah and Al Alberts were on hand for the 10am ribbon cutting. The mall opened with two major department stores, Wanamaker’s and J. C. Penney. Bamberger’s and Sears were added later.
