The Upper Dublin Police Department in Fort Washington announced an update today regarding two unrelated sexual assault investigations, both of which concluded with guilty pleas last week in the Montgomery County Court of Common Pleas.
According to a press release, both cases involved “serious offenses” though further details were withheld.
“These two convictions, which resulted in guilty pleas, reflect the expertise and commitment of our detectives,” Chief Francis Wheatley said. “Their professionalism and persistence to support those impacted by these crimes demonstrates our department’s unwavering focus on accountability, public safety, and justice.”
Upper Dublin police commended detectives Michael Scarpato and Kyle Gallen for their efforts in resolving the cases.
The two defendants will be sentenced at a later date, police said.
