Atlanta-based Pulte Homes has purchased 18 acres of vacant land at 1840 Norristown Road in the Maple Glen section of Upper Dublin Township, the Philadelphia Business Journal reported.

According to the story, the $12.2 million project calls for 72 townhomes to be constructed on the site. Homes will start at mid-$700,000s, averaging 2,500 square feet each with three to four bedrooms. The development is planned to have 21 buildings total.

Pulte Homes acquired the land from Jenkintown-based Goodman Properties after a seven-year approval process, the Journal said. The developer expects to receive final approvals soon and begin land development by late July.

Homes are planned to start selling later this year, the Journal said.
