The Pet of the Week is a cat named Magnus. Magnus’ owner Lynnette writes:
Magnus is seven years old and was rescued as a kitten by CAPIC Cats, a Trap Neuter Return (TNR) group from New Jersey (www.capiccats.com – they are always looking for donations and foster parents). He and his mother and brother lived as strays at an apartment complex in New Jersey before CAPIC took them in. My husband and I adopted Magnus when he was five months old and brought him to live in Ambler. Although he was a timid scaredy cat when we got him (he lived under our bed for a month before he would come out to explore the rest of the apartment) he is now spoiled and demands multiple ‘brushies’ a day as well as treats and loves to give kisses and head butts. Apparently many black cats are euthanized because they are the least to be adopted so we encourage others to rescue a beautiful black cat from your local rescue group or shelter as there are many to love.
