Montgomery County District Attorney’s “Touch a Truck” Event This Weekend in Norristown

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office and the Norristown Municipal Police Department will be hosting a “Touch A Truck” event at 1800 Markley Street in Norristown from 4 to 7pm on Saturday, July 20. This free family-friendly event will feature more than 25 different working vehicles used locally.

Currently scheduled to be part of Touch A Truck are a police cruiser, crime
scene truck, fire truck, SWAT Bearcat, dump truck and other construction
vehicles, ambulance, SEPTA bus and a state-of-the-art medical transport
helicopter. Also on hand will be the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Pill Car, which will be accepting unwanted and expired prescription and over-the counter medicines for safe disposal.

Touch A Truck will allow for kids and kids at heart to explore, touch, get into and otherwise interact with these vehicles and their operators to learn how they work and what they do. Photography is permitted. Parental supervision is required.

The Touch A Truck event will also include a meet and greet for children and their families with Norristown Police, members of the District Attorney’s Office and members of the Montgomery County Detective Bureau. Additionally, several local restaurants will have food available for purchase.
