On Wednesday afternoon Wake Coffee Roasters posted on its Facebook page that it was going to start a farmers market within its beer garden space and asked for some feedback from the public. Here is the text of the post:

EXCITING NEWS! We are starting a local Farmers Market at Wake in our beer garden space starting in May. 😍We need suggestions and feedback from the public!
1. What day of the week is best? Friday afternoon, Saturday morning, or Sunday Morning?
2. What types of vendors would you like to see?
3. Give us any suggestions or opinions you may have to help us!

The post resulted in some positive comments and some questions as to why a farmers market is needed due to the Ambler Farmers Market that has existed for several years in the SEPTA parking lot along Butler Avenue.

There was also one comment that appears to have been deleted that did not speak favorably on the future of the Ambler Farmers Market. All of this led Ambler Main Street, which owns the Ambler Farmers Market, to issue a statement on the health and status of the market. It stated:

We are letting you know the status of the Ambler Farmers’ Market because others have recently posted misinformation about the market on social media. Please use this information to correct any rumors you hear about the Ambler Farmers’ Market.

We are obligated to provide the facts and dispel rumors. We are posting this message on Wake Coffee’s recent post and our own Facebook page.

UPDATE – There is a new statement from Wake Coffee Roasters. It reads:
