Pickleball courts now open at Twining Valley Park

Upper Dublin Township’s Parks and Recreation department announced Monday, June 29th that four pickleball courts at Twining Valley Park are now open. The courts are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. or until sunset seven days a week.

Court use is first come, first served with a two-hour play limit, said UDP&R. Permits for court use are not being issued at this time. Private and external groups charging fees for participants to play are not currently permitted, according to the township. However, during the summer, UPD&R said it will be reserving court use for its programs. Signs will be posted at the entry gate when courts are unavailable.

UPD&R advises that users refrain from crossing Twining Road to access the courts and instead follow the paths that lead to them. Parking can be found at 1400 Twinning Rd. or in the dog park parking lot at 1487 Twinning Rd.

The township added that windscreens, signage, bike racks and additional benches will become available in the near future. In the fall, UDP&R will also begin its pickleball league.

More information will be announced at a ribbon-cutting ceremony in July.
