FOX29 recently interviewed Danielle Deck, the wife of Deputy Fire Chief Jonathan Deck of the Wissahickon Fire Company, who passed away in October 2025. In addition to his wife, Deck is survived by two young sons, and the family lived in Ambler. You can watch the interview here.

Danielle is participating in the Ben to the Shore Bike Tour, which is taking place for the 39th year on July 26th. She is riding 65 miles from Philadelphia to Atlantic City to honor Jonathan’s memory.

Thus far, she has raised over $23,000 for the beneficiary, Families Behind the Badge Children’s Foundation, which provides “necessary financial relief for the families of fallen or critically injured first responders (police officers, firefighters, EMTs)” and other services. The Deck family received support after Jonathan’s passing.
