Nextgres, an Ambler-based AI-focused startup, has joined the Comcast NBCUniversal LIFT Labs Accelerator, The Philadelphia Business Journal reported.
Comcast LIFT Labs helps early-stage companies receive upfront investment and potentially secure a pilot or partnership with the company. The outfit has a current portfolio of over 65 companies.
“This is about accelerating traction with our business, not supporting the general growth of a startup which is the aim of more traditional accelerators,” LIFT Labs’ website says.
According to The Journal, Nextgres is the first Philadelphia-area company to be selected to Comcast LIFT Labs since 2024 and is one of six startups in the spring cohort.
“Being in a room with the pedigree of these companies, being accepted in a program like this, it doesn’t only help us, but it helps the Philadelphia region as a whole be seen as a place where innovation is happening,” co-founder Joe Cotellese told The Journal. “Startups should be coming here, building products, and you can be involved in opportunities like this.”
The company is located at 238 Trinity Avenue in Ambler. From Nextgres’ website:
