Senator Maria Collett of Fort Washington announced grant funding for affordable housing and housing stability services in Montgomery County through the Pennsylvania Housing Affordability and Rehabilitation Enhancement (PHARE) fund.

Grant recipients in the Ambler area include:

• Family Promise Montco PA – $150,000 for Day Shelter Safety Enhancement to ensure families with children experiencing homelessness have a safe place to stay during the day
• Family Promise Montco PA – $200,000 to prevent homelessness for 97 households by providing rent, utility and moving assistance

“Far too many Pennsylvanians – including residents here in Montgomery County – are struggling to afford stable housing in their communities,” Senator Collett said. “I’m proud to announce these investments from the PA Housing Finance Agency to expand local housing stock, provide homelessness prevention services, and keep more Pennsylvanians safe in their homes.”
