Ambler based Marcolina Design brings 30 years of national level design work to the local market

Marcolina Design Inc. (MDI) is a closely held, family owned business. Established and co-owed by Denise and Dan Marcolina. The firm specializes in award winning print, video, digital and presentation design work.

Dan is the Creative Director of MDI. He grew up in Lafayette Hill attending La Salle High School and receiving a BFA in Graphic Design from Penn State University and also an animation and illustration degree from University of California at Long Beach. Dan worked many years in the graphic design field, in the Philadelphia region before forming MDI. His design vision is at the core of their success. Their work has been featured in many publications. Dan also has lectured nationally on his design process.

Denise has a BA of Fine Arts from Rowen University. Shortly after graduating she obtained employment at The Children’s Place where she helped grow the company from 3 stores to 300 in the 10 years she worked there. Her final position was district manager in charge of the top grossing stores in the northeast region. She left her position to move to Chestnut Hill when she became engaged to Dan. She found employment with Eagles Eye before moving on to form MDI with Dan and start their family life. She has held the position of Business Strategist and CFO keeping their business afloat through thick and thin since 1990.

Their story began when they met on Long Beach Island NJ (at the HUD)! They both are life long Beach Haven lovers after spending a good portion of there childhood summers on the island. They raised their family and currently reside in Oreland, PA.

Denise and Dan have been in business for over 30 years. Starting out in Conshohocken and then moving to Ambler where they rented and owned different properties for their business. They are currently and happily located at Ambler Yards.

Although their client base has been mainly large corporations MDI has always shared their talents and services with local businesses. No job was ever too small. Currently MDI is prioritizing and emphasizing their commitment to doing great design work at affordable pricing for the local community businesses.
