There will be a budget meeting at 6pm and an Ambler Borough Committee meeting at 7pm tonight at Ambler Borough Hall. Some of the things being discussed are:

• The Red Cross will be holding a blood drive at Borough Hall on December 28 from 2-7pm
• The Borough Engineer is reviewing the storm water plans for the proposed St. Mary’s development
• 2018 Budget – public notice for budget review was advertised and special series of budget meetings were scheduled, starting with tonight’s meeting at 6pm
• PECO Green Region-Open Space Grant – The Parks and Rec. Committee will consider adoption of a Resolution Authorizing Application to the 2017 PECO Green Region Open Space Program for Riparian Buffer Improvements and implementing a conservation plan for the Edgewood Preserve.
• The Borough used grant funds to install fencing at Knight Park and Locust Street Park
• Volunteer Commissions, Committees and Boards- Terms of service will expire on Dec.31 2017, for various volunteer positions.  Incumbents have been contacted and asked to submit a letter of interest/resume if seeking re-appointment.  Residents interested in being considered can forward a letter of interest/resume to the Borough Manager by 12/15/17.  Positions include:
• Appeals Board ( 3 Yr. term, 2 positions, 1 vacancy)
• Civil Service Commission ( 6 yr term, 1 seat)
• Environmental Advisory Commission ( 3 yr. term, 1 seat)
• Planning Commission ( 4 yr. term, 3 seats)
• Vacancy Board ( 1 yr. term, 1 seat)
• Zoning Hearing Board ( 3 yr. term, 1 seat + 1 alternate seat)
